Paleo Apple Juice

Paleo Apple Juice

Learning how to make apple cider proved to be much easier than anticipated. Finish off the evening with this simple Apple Cider Recipe. There’s quite a few ways to make your own cider, but for this recipe I use plain apple juice. You can juice your own apples (takes about 5 pounds of apples) , or buy a brand that has no added sugars or preservatives.

So drinking a glass of apple juice, for example, is basically like eating 8 apples all at once. The Paleo Diet was created by Loren Cordain and is a low-carb diet that claims to be based on the diet of ancient humans. If you don’t think it tastes good, squeeze in lemon or lime juice to enhance the flavor. This is a refreshing juice that will pop in your mouth thanks to the ginger blended into it. The apple helps to sweeten things up, and the carrot lends its familiar taste and notorious beta Carotene which helps the body with more than just eyesight.

Nothing says fall like a great homemade Paleo Apple Cider recipe, made with gala apples, ground cinnamon, allspice and sweetened with maple syrup. Both are great for paleo dishes, but what about apple cider? If nothing is added to it, is it paleo? Is it Whole30? I can’t seem to find an answer anywhere, but I did find some mulled cider recipes on a couple paleo websites.
